Offensive All-Star from Walla Walla to Join Lady Pronghorns this Fall

Kasey Wegner is a 5 '11 Middle Blocker and Pin Hitter from Walla Walla, Washington! Wegner earned four varsity letters and was a four-year starter during her volleyball career at Walla Walla High School. The accomplished hitter racked up a number of impressive stats during her senior season including 103 kills, 22 aces, 18 blocks, and 146 digs! Kasey's consistency on the court helped lead her team to qualify for the 2021 Washington State Volleyball Tournament, to be 2022 Regional Qualifiers, and to be 2023 Regional Qualifiers. Wegner was also highly successful as an individual player, earning accolades such as being named the Most Valuable Player in 2020, Most Improved in 2021, WWHS 2023 Team Captain, and being named to the 2023 All-Conference Second Team. The Washington native was also a member of Sweets Volleyball Club and Club Gold Volleyball Club where she was a large contributor to the success of both teams!
Kasey Wegner was not only an accomplished athlete, but was also an accomplished student at WWHS. Wegner maintained a high GPA throughout her career which is why she was consistently on the Honor Roll and was awarded the title of Honor Scholar Athlete! Along with being a member of the WWHS volleyball team, Kasey was also a member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) during high school. The incoming Pronghorn plans on studying and majoring in Kinesiology during her time at Gillette College.
Kasey opened up to us about her decision to come to Gillette College, stating "I chose Gillette College because of the academic, coaching staff, and the atmosphere around the team. Everyone was so nice and welcoming when I visited! I loved the drive to get better that the girls had and the support they gave one another. I also loved the small town atmosphere Gillette has, it reminded me a lot of my hometown!"
