Dasani Nesbit is a 5’10 powerhouse who is joining the Gillette College Women’s Volleyball and Basketball team this year. On the volleyball court, Nesbit has had quite the career already with her totaling 228 kills, 79 blocks, 52 digs, and 40 aces her senior year. The four-year volleyball starter’s impressive stats earned her many honors such as 1st Team All-Conference, All-State Honors, and Athlete of the week for both her junior and senior seasons. Nesbit helped lead her team to a Conference Championship, District Championship, and a 3rd place finish at Divisionals her senior year.  Not only is Dasani a star on the volleyball court, but she also shines on the basketball court. During her senior year, Dasani had a significant number of impressive stats, the most impressive being the whopping 350+ points she put up for the Red Hawks. Nesbit has a number of accomplishments from her basketball career at Froid Public School such as earning 2nd Team All-Conference Honors her freshman year, 1st Team All-Conference Honors sophomore through senior year, and All-State Honors her junior and senior year. The 4-year basketball starter for the Red Hawks helped lead her team to multiple impressive finishes in both the District and the Divisionals all four seasons she played. Nesbit was also a member of the Select Basketball AAU Team!

Dasani comes with not only a highly decorated athletic history, but also with an impressive academic record. Dasani’s hard work in the classroom earned her a spot on the Honor Roll multiple times throughout high school and even an invitation into the National Society of High School Honors! Nesbit was also a member of the Business Professionals of America, or BPA, club all four years of high school and was a member of the FFA for two years of high school. Dasani plans on studying Exercise Science during her time at Gillette College. When we asked Dasani about her decision to come to Gillette, she responded “I chose Gillette College because of my academic interests. Gillette also has a supportive coaching staff where I can pursue my athletic career as a dual sport athlete. I am eager to gain knowledge and experience from new coaches and professors, as well as competing in both volleyball and basketball at Gillette College!”
