Anthony Longo comes to Gillette College after six successful seasons as Head Coach of Women’s Soccer at Indian Hills Community College (85-17-7) During his time there, he led the team to break numerous program records, including a trip to the NJCAA National Tournament, a first in program history, as well as being awarded the ICCAC Coach-of-the-Year three times.

Before his stint at Indian Hills CC, he was an assistant coach at the University of Illinois Springfield for one year and Culver-Stockton College in Missouri. He began his coaching career at lower levels, including Quincy Notre Dame High School and Quincy United Soccer Club in Illinois. 

Longo played four years at the University of Illinois Springfield and all four during high school at Quincy Notre Dame, captaining both teams his senior years. 

He comes from a family lineage of coaching. His grandfather, Frank Longo, is in the US Soccer Hall of Fame having coached collegiately, as well as working in the US Soccer Federation. His father, Mark Longo is the girls’ soccer coach at Quincy Notre Dame, having started the program and has led it to over 500 program wins and six state championships. Longo learned spent three years on staff with his dad, being a part of two of state championships.
