Pronghorns End Regular Season with Back-to-Back Wins
In a thrilling finish to the season, the Gillette College women’s soccer team secured two impressive victories, defeating Lamar Community College and Northeastern Junior College, both with a score of 2-1.
The first match against Lamar was a showcase of determination and skill. Gillette took an early lead with a well-placed goal by Tiffany Enamorado on an assist from Jordan Curtis, setting the tone for the game. The Pronghorns added a 2nd goal in the 59th minute when Tiffany Enamorado found Maddyn Walker who finished her chance. Lamar fought back adding a late goal in the 79th minute.
Following their success against Lamar, the Pronghorns faced Northeastern Junior College in what turned out to be another tightly contested match. NJC got on the scoreboard first with a goal in the 14th minute. Both teams displayed great intensity, but Gillette’s attacking prowess shone through as they managed to score twice in the 2nd half with goals from Jordan Curtis in the 29th minute and Brooke Dunham sealed the win with a goal in the 80th minute.
With these two victories, Gillette College finished the season with a record of 7 wins and 6 losses. The strong finish reflects the team's growth and determination throughout the year, setting a positive tone for Region IX postseason tournament.
