Pronghorns Shine at Thanksgiving Classic

Gillette, WY –December 2, 2024 – The Gillette College Women's Basketball team put on an impressive display over the weekend at the Thanksgiving Classic, securing two decisive victories against Trinidad State and Otero College.

In their first game of the weekend, the Pronghorns dominated Trinidad State with a commanding 106-80 win. Leading the charge was Rochelle Afo-Manuma, who delivered an outstanding performance with 30 points, shooting 14 of 20 from the field. Marija Marinkovic, Arna Bright, and Dasani Nesbit also contributed significantly, scoring 10, 16, and 19 points, respectively. Bright also excelled in facilitating the game, notching 11 assists along with her scoring efforts.

Trinidad State Game Highlights:

- Rochelle Afo-Manuma: 30 points (14-20 FG)

- Arna Bright: 16 points, 11 assists

- Dasani Nesbit: 19 points, 6 rebounds

In the second game, the Pronghorns continued their strong showing against Otero College, winning 78-53. Although the team faced a stiffer defense, they found ways to score effectively. Dasani Nesbit led again with 15 points, while Afo-Manuma added 11 points. Marija Marinkovic and Kenlee Engelhardt contributed valuable minutes off the bench, and the team's defense kept Otero under wraps, allowing only 53 points.

- Kenlee Engelhardt: 14 points, 9 steals, 8 rebounds, 5 assists
