Ross Transfers to Play for Pronghorns

GILLETTE, WY, MAY 22, 2023 –Head Coach Liz Lewis is pleased to announce the signing of 5'7 guard Shelby Ross for the 2023-24 season. Shelby will transfer from Golden West College after completing her freshman year. Ross is originally from Rancho Cucamonga, CA and attended high school at Bishop Amat Memorial High School.

Shelby is the daughter of Sheldon and Toni Ross. In high school, Shelby was the team captain for her basketball team during her junior and senior seasons. While being team captain, Ross led her team to the 2020 CIF Championship. She also played AAU basketball for Black Water and Primo Soldiers.  

Lewis stated, "Shelby brings a year of playing experience at college level. Shelby can knock down shots and does an excellent job finding her teammates in transition. We recognize her best basketball is still ahead of her."

Ross plans to study Nursing while attending Gillette College.
