Truckee Meadows Community College opened the score sheet with a shot from the penalty spot after Bobby Mortimer took down TMCC striker 5 minutes into the game. Shortly after, Phillip Avendano Castillo tied the game after a strong press to make the game 1-1, 22 minutes into the first half.
The second half saw both teams making strategic adjustments, introducing fresh legs and adopting more aggressive approaches. Truckee Meadows regained the lead in the 55th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error from Gillette College to make it 2-1.

Their determination paid off as they managed to equalize, making it 2-2 in the dying moments of the match with a goal from Julen Arteaga. Gillette College will travel again to Casper College on Monday, August 21st as they take on the Casper College Thunderbirds at 5pm.
