Gillette College Rodeo Welcomes Saddle Bronc Rider Owen Thomson

Gillette College Rodeo is pleased to announce the signing of Owen Thomson, a great young saddle bronc rider from Gillette, Wyoming.
Owen is currently a senior at Wright Jr Sr High School, where he has maintained a 3.7 GPA and scored an impressive 26 on the ACT's. With his high school graduation approaching in 2025, he plans to study Business at Gillette College. Owen chose Gillette College for its supportive rodeo coaching staff and the positive environment it offers.
In 2024, he earned the title of runner-up in saddle bronc riding at the Wyoming High School Rodeo and qualified for the high school national rodeo, highlighting his dedication and talent in the sport. A member of the Wyoming High School Rodeo Association, Owen got his start in rodeo thanks to NFR bronc rider, Shorty Garrett.
