Gillette College Announces Signing of Jess Harper

Gillette College is excited to announce the signing of Jess Harper, a talented rodeo athlete from Faith, South Dakota, who will be joining our rodeo program this upcoming academic year. Jess is transferring from Black Hills State.

Jess has made significant strides in his rodeo career, including being the 2024 SDRA Team Roping year-end heeler and a qualifier for the 2024 College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR). He competes in Team Roping and Calf Roping and is a dedicated member of the SDRA and NRCA associations.

When asked about his decision to choose Gillette College, Jess shared, "It is a great place, and I like that you can practice as much as you want and ride as many horses as you want. I also really like how the coaches make you feel welcome." His enthusiasm and passion for the sport make him an excellent addition to our team.
