Cowboy State rosters announced for the 2025 Wyoming-Montana All-Star Series
Gillette, WY – April 24, 2025 – The Wyoming High School All-Stars will face off against their Montana counterparts in an exciting basketball series that promises thrilling competition and showcases talent. The girls' game is set to tip off at 5 p.m., followed by the boys' match at 7 p.m., on June 13 at the Pronghorn Center in Gillette, Wyoming, and June 14 at Lockwood High School in Billings, Montana.
The Wyoming boys' team, fresh off breaking a 22-game losing streak against Montana last year, will enter the series with newfound confidence. Wyoming not only ended that streak but also achieved its first sweep of the two boys' games in 13 years.
The Wyoming boys' roster features several standout talents, coached by seasoned veteran Shawn Neary, who has celebrated his 500th college career win. The boys' team includes:

Karver Partlow - 6'5" (PF) – Thunder Basin High School, Gillette, WY
Clayton Cook - 6'5" (PF) – Evanston High School, Evanston, WY
Jordan Mendez - 5'11" (PG) – Evanston High School, Evanston, WY
Jaxson Neely - 6'5" (SG) – Wright High School, Wright, WY
Tanner Hagar - 6'2" (SG) – Natrona High School, Casper, WY

The girls' all-time series has seen the Montana All-Stars dominate with a record of 41 wins to Wyoming's 13. Wyoming's last victory came on June 10, 2016. However, the Cowboy State boasts a talented roster this year, highlighted by Gatorade Player of the Year, Elyn Bowers, who will pursue Division I basketball at Eastern Washington University. Other standout players include:
- Lauren Olsen – Committed to D1 basketball at California Baptist University.
- Kaylie Neary – Committed to play D2 basketball at MSU Billings.
-Lauren Kuhbacher– Committed to play D2 basketball at MSU Billings.
- Izzy Kelly – Committed to play both basketball and softball at NAIA Dickinson State.
- Karson Tempel – Committed to compete in basketball and track at NAIA Dickinson State.
- Emma Asay– Committed to NJCAA Gillette College for basketball.
- Brynn Sybrant – Committed to NJCAA basketball at Western Nebraska Community College.
- Jaden Meyer – Committed to NJCAA athlete at Casper College for basketball.
- Kennedy Davila – Committed to NJCAA athlete at Casper College for basketball.
