Casey Rae Sellers, daughter of Dan and Brandy Reimler, grew up on a fourth-generation ranch northeast of Gillette, WY. She graduated from Campbell County High School in 2014 and attended Gillette College on a rodeo scholarship under the guidance of Coach Will Laduke. During her time at Gillette College, she won the region in goat tying and qualified for the CNFR two years in a row, also graduating with her Associate's in Science.
Following her graduation, she attended the University of Wyoming, where she made the CNFR three more times in goat tying and breakaway roping. She attained her Master's in Animal and Veterinary Science with a focus on Ruminant Nutrition, graduating in 2020. While at UW, she student-coached for a year during her master's before accepting a position as their women’s rodeo coach in 2020.
When the opportunity arose to work for Gillette College with Coach Laduke, Sellers gladly returned to the community that she grew up in. She has competed at a professional level in barrel racing and breakaway roping consistently since 2017, with multiple Mountain States circuit finals qualifications. She and her husband, Casey Wayne Sellers, raise and futurity performance horses while living back on the ranch she grew up on.
